The countdown to Christmas is now fully underway. I have finished my Christmas shopping, written most of my Christmas cards and as I am at home for the holiday season this year, I have no need to stock up on food or decorations.
All that leaves for me to do now is plough through my Exam (13 full working-days left til its due and counting), open the doors on my Me To You chocolate Advent calendar each morning and then, get more and more excited!! (Too old for advent calendars? Just you watch!)
The hand-made Christmas cards that I completed on Friday afternoon have been posted. The recipients may think their cards were constructed by the hands of a small child. Let me put this to bed now when I say this was not the case. They actually happened to be the product of the hands of a very big child.
Unfortunately, during the construction of said cards, there was somewhat of a glitter explosion. The Mother Ship was not impressed, cue the entire kitchen and Claire being subject to the wrath of the vacuum cleaner and copious amounts of damp kitchen towel (to combat the excessive usage of Pritt Stick).
Oh dear.
That aside, I can safely it was the most fun I’ve had in ages. All that cutting, sticking and making a sparkly mess? Brilliant! If you ever get a chance to do something again as an adult that you did when you were 6, I thoroughly recommend going for it!!
A full-time wheelchair user since 1998, Claire lives in an adapted bungalow in England with her Partner of 10 years and their two dogs:
