Oh to be a fly on the wall in my bedroom…
”…You see, it’s the distortion in terms of size that bothers me. You know, when things are unnaturally larger than they should be, it’s disturbing… Like giant versions of smaller animals, like grotesquely fat cats or dogs… Or, that “giant” breed of rabbit that’s like the size of a dog. It makes me feel sick”
“Mmm…I get what you mean…”
“You know, I had a dream about a giant hamster, it was awful — so frightening and I felt sick — ”
[Interrupts] “Again? God, I remember when you had that before!”
“No, I haven’t had more — its the same one, it still bothers me.”
[Laughter] “What? There I am having weekly nightmares about zombies, death, disease and murder — and you’re still worried about a dream you had, what? [Thinks] Three years ago? — About a bloody hamster!”
Take a deep breath and repeat after me…
I will stop going to a cheap hairdresser

Phew, in other news… Because this is officially pants and Jem is so amusing in her exasperation of said pants, I am doing the right thing.
One last thing, I just wanted to ask: What are you more likely to visit on a blog: An integrated gallery or an album on Flickr??
Answers on a postcard please, this is urgent and I’m indecisive… You know it makes sense
A full-time wheelchair user since 1998, Claire lives in an adapted bungalow in England with her Partner of 10 years and their two dogs:

integrated gallery
I’ve yet to find a hairdresser who does what I want them to, no matter how much (or little) they charge. ho hum.
Ta for that Katy
lol, I can sympathise though luckily my new “do” is growing on me already
Claire, did you see this?
That’s a rodent to haunt the vegetable patch in anyone’s dreams.
My daughter,Jane. is having nightmares about these giant Easter bunnies with people inside that jump out at little children in the mall at this time of year. I think the most horrifying part for her was when this particular bunny reached his hands up, grabbed his head, and … pulled it off, revealing a no-doubt underpaid and definitely surly youth underneath. Even i thought it was kinda gruesome. The poor kid cried most of the way home. Bloody Easter bunny!
LOL…
Great link (and congrats on the live linking success
) Glad they don’t have a picture… :S
Integrated galleries are great, but people tend to let them go to rack and ruin and dead links are quick to appear. Often people also underestimate the bandwidth requirements. So, although an integrated gallery is a bit more professional looking and keeps everything under one roof, your visitors know they can trust Flickr to always be there even when/if your site ever changes significantly. Just my two cents from southern Essex. Toodle-oo.
Cheers for the “southern Essex” insight Lew, its and interesting argument “for” Flickr and you make some very valid points (bandwidth/upkeep etc). The only problem I have is my own bias — I’ll always mooch ’round an integrated gallery, but never I have a felt compelled to click on those Flickr-badge things — even when I like the photography… It just seems too much hassle/too much out of my way — even though there probably isn’t any more clicks involved, it must be psychological or something.
I visit both, although I’m more inclined to repeat visit and comment on integrated galleries. Eh, flickr is overrated in my opinion.
Oh, and Happy Easter!
Giant hamsters, eh? Sounds pretty freaky although I’m the total opposite as you. I’m afraid of small things. Tiny little ants with beady eyes that can swarm over your entire body, sting, and bite you. That’s what I’m afraid of.
If it were me I’d be more likely to view an integrated gallery for the same reasons you stated above. If Im were the one creating it, however, I’d make one at flickr for two reasons: I’m lazy and I’m not talented enough to make an integrated gallery.
I’m definately more inclined to visit an integrated album… I don’t much care for flickr.
I personally only tend to visit photos when they’ve been blatently pointed out to me.. i.e. if someone blogs and says “look at this particular photograph of striking beauty”. That is, unless I’m bored at work and then I’ll look at *anything*.
I think that the larger animals are cute, after I’ve got over the “JESUS look at the size of that THING!” shock, and the temptation to call the RSPCA. I want one of those giant rabbits, that’s for sure.
Oh, and I’ve never had my hair cut at a hairdressers. Is that odd?
(Why did I comment on your entry backwards?)
