A full-time wheelchair user since 1998, Claire lives in an adapted bungalow in England with her Partner of 10 years and their two dogs: Ziggy, a 4 year old ex-racing Greyhound, and Hector, a 1 year old Whippet.Claire loves photography, cups of tea, fluffy pyjamas and writing gritty fiction. Oh. My. God. Yes! That word was so needing to be used today. LOL!
I know! I’ve had “She’s Always in My Hair” and “If I Was Ur Girlfriend” on a loop for hours [no exaggeration].
For me, that word sums up the past week whilst I’ve been awaiting the arrival of a much anticipated CD of his in the post. It arrived about an hour after I blogged.
I so don’t get the appeal of that man. lol My best mate in school was crazy about him and I was amazed then and am amazed now! lol!

My obsession with that little man has led me to discover that there are 2 camps of people in this world: Those that think he’s a creepy little weirdo and those that think he’s gorgeous, a musical genuis and would merrily lick the soles of his handmade custom cuban-heeled boots!
No prizes for guessing which camp I’m a card-carrying member of…
But I can totally understand that his appeal is limited and his eccentricity and musical experimentation an acquired taste…
His work-rate and ability astounds me… I’ve got 8 of his albums…“only” about 28 more to go…

Fantastic, Prince fans are a bit of a rare breed outside “the Org”… are you a member?
No I’m not! I should be, shouldn’t I? LOL! I was talking to a group of people the other day and it turned out 7 out of 10 of them were Prince fans. Why must Prince fans be so quiet about their fandom? Maybe we aren’t rare…maybe we just don’t communicate with each other enough. Hahahah!
I don’t know why, but I have been for years — its only these past couple that I’ve been more forthcoming about my devotion…
I think it’s fear of rejection that stuns us into silence… After all, its a big thing to say you’re obsessed with a man who spent his early career wearing women’s undergarments and a Flasher’s mack!!
