This week’s Macro Day Challenge: BUTTON
Camera: Nikon CoolPix 3200
Setting: Macro, Cyanotype
Since receiving a Nikon D70s for Christmas, I tried to be disciplined and lay the Nikon Coolpix 3200 to rest whilst feverishly devouring the 200+ pages of the door-stop that is the D70s instruction manual.
In reality, I have slogged through various chapters in fits and starts, with my feeble attempts at experimentation producing very dubious offerings. I tried to resist reverting back to the E3200, promising myself that once I had my “Step-Down” ring and could make use of my macro filters, I’d be flying.
I can’t wait that long. I feel limbless without a camera.
So, until I master the D70s (and get the ring I’m after to size-down the filter thread on my lens), I will continue using my beloved E3200. Without guilt. Sort of.
I love the D70s madly, we just need to “grow” on one another.

I Just bougth a Nikon D40 and am deeply in love with it, and I’m not exaggerating. It’s a gut-wrenching passion I have for this camera. However I won’t be consigning my trusty little Kodak to some dusty shelf.
Sometimes the D40 (or D70s in your case) just isn’t the right tool for the job. However I’m the kinda guy that needs to find that out the hard way and will probably spend hours trying to capture something with the D40 before grabbing old-faithful.
*jealous* You don’t only have a D70, you also got an iPod
