I had plans to post about our life post-financial disaster, but WordPress has scuppered my efforts.
My browser keeps timing out when viewing this site/using this WP install and every time I try to load a page/submit form content, the page just turns white mid-operation and “hangs”. Why? It was ok last week (and no, it didn’t start after having changed anything/installed new plugins etc). I spoke to my host and they denied there was any problem and then just spouted something silly that had nothing to do with the price of fish, as though I was an Inta-Web NOOB who didn’t know her browser from her router.
Also, my archives seem to have developed a stammer, several posts seem to be listed multiple times for no apparent reason. I thought it might be the archives plugin so I exchanged it for the a similar one. No change. I went to go and shout at my database thinking that there may be multiple DB records per post (for some bizarre reason) only to find that the DB was fine.
Is it WordPress?
Is anyone else’s WP install gone to pot since v.2.2?

I’ve had (and am still having) EXACTLY the same problem since upgrading to 2.2. It’s been a nightmare. I think I’ve figured out the duplicated archives (you getting them in your WP Admin panel too?) It’s to do with having more than one custom field, I think. On the posts (and pages) where I’ve, say, cross-posted to LJ and used Markdown, the post will display twice. When I try to delete one, both bloody disappear. So for now I’m having to post only with one custom field until I have the time (and inclination) to figure it out. :\
I’m also having the site hang and reeeeeally slow loading time, particularly when it comes to the Admin Panel and adding comments. It’s like if anything touches the DB, it takes forever. I’ve yet to figure this one out.
Do this sound like the same kind of problems you’re having?
