This week’s Macro Day Challenge: MACRO
Embroidered design on my leather Crumpler iPod case. Crumpler make the coolest things that do a great job of holding your stuff. In addition to The Big Little Thing, I use a Ben’s Pizza XXXL bag as a kit bag for all my camera gear. I Heart Crumpler.
Taken with the use of a +10 dioptre macro lens fitted to the filter thread of my standard kit (18-70mm) lens.

Nice… although you’ve taken the fun away of guessing what it is by telling us. Ha. I guess that isn’t the point.
James:
Ooops
I’ll keep that in mind for next time
Yes I also assumed it was a “guess what is this?” picture.
Am the proud owner of two Crumplers — a baby John Thursday one for the ipod and a bigger John Thursday one for the camera, which I got last week on the ferry on the way back from France — it was the best thing I brought all holiday
Imo:
Never had a John Thurday myself, but used to own a Stamp Claimer that I used as a camera bag until my gubbins out-grew it. (That’s when I had to upgrade to the Ben’s Pizza XXXL.) Luckily, Crumplers retain their value pretty well and I managed to flog it for a decent sum on eBay.
Hope you had a good holiday
Pah, I thought it was a “guess the wotsit-thingie” too! hehe I wasnt too far off with the guess of “mobile phone case”, but I digress — I love this picture! Well, I love all macro photography, so congrats
Ha. Your so going to have to run a “Guess what it is?” competition on your blog Claire.
It’s what the crowd wants!
What crowd — there’s only three of us
Yes — we had sun
IMO,
Haven’t you heard of the saying “two’s company, three’s a crowd”
Dan:
James:
Hmmm… I’ll have to see what I can do about this
Imo:
Glad to hear it.
I don’t know what it’s like where you are now, but here I am bathed in “liquid sunshine”
Hey,
I’ve just been browsing some digital camera tutorials and I now know what the Aperture and Exposure levels beneath your picture mean, just the ISO speed to go.
