K’s been poorly this last week or so. I joined her (in sympathy) and we took a week off from life to wallow and watch the Paralympics and day time TV. Now she’s back at work, I’m back here online; I’ve missed my blog.
Since I last spoke:
- Some nasty eejit helped themselves to my card details… Thankfully, they’d only nicked 30 quid before I spotted it and had my bank stop my card. Gits.
- My entry for the “Logo” Macro Day Challenge made first place. I’ve never made first place before, I’m dead chuffed!
- My study material for my next Creative Writing course has arrived. I’m nervous. Big Time. I’m currently re-drafting the opening chapter of a Crime-Thriller novel, sadly it’s not as cool as it sounds.
I’ve also been working on a new series of Lensbaby photos; this time, using novelty-shaped apertures. I’m trying to convince K to help me make a
shaped aperture (!)
This particular image was created using a f/4 heart-shaped aperture disk and a set of micro fairy-lights. It is posted here for you: I heart people that read me, especially those that weather my persistent absences. You rock.

A full-time wheelchair user since 1998, Claire lives in an adapted bungalow in England with her Partner of 11 years and their two dogs:

Love the photo and glad you are both feeling better. Also congrats on 1st place!!
We’ve missed you too

I rock? woo hoo
Well you are allowed to be absent — it’s called having a life
I like the
picture, you could get it made up into Valentine cards and flog them to Mr Clinton
Hope you’re both feeling better and the shithead who took your card details got hit by a bus.
