Ok, “commission” is a bit ambitious, but I like to make myself feel important. My sister Laura asked me to photograph some of the new little plantlings she’s taken to doting on in the hopes of turning my work into canvas wall hangings.
I don’t think these will make the cut as they’re a little too “abstract” for her taste, but they’re my personal favourites from the shoot and thought they deserved a mention here, at least.

My name is Claire and this is my blog. I live with my Partner and our 2 year old adopted Greyhound,

This design was inspired by & made with the greatest admiration and respect for the work of the late John Heartfield.
Have you ever seen the film Tremors? The first photograph reminds me of the monster in that film. Freaky. Lovely colours, what flowers are they?
Teesee: No, I’ve never seen Tremors, I’ll have to Google it.
They’re white/pink Orchids, by the way.
Gorgeous, the pictures remind me of postcards that I used to have dotted around my bedroom wall.
Several years ago I used some graphics from a stock photo place with a similar look, but these are definitely a far better quality. Great for a portfolio addition, in my opinion.
Those are beautiful. People with photography skills amaze me because I’m a bit of a klutz with a camera.
Thanks guys! It’s much appreciated
Nile:
Thanks for that especially, it’s good to know for future reference.

It’s taken quite a while to get to grips with this camera and for me to feel like using it is now second nature, but it’s been well worth it. (I was completely intimidated by it at first!)
